Terms of Service Agreement

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By inviting Rive to your Discord server, accessing our website at rive.rocks, or using any of our music streaming services ("Services"), you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of Rive and remove the bot from your server. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rive.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Rive is a free Discord music bot that streams audio content from various third-party platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, SoundCloud, and other supported services. Rive does not host, store, or own any music content. All audio content is sourced directly from legitimate third-party platforms in real-time. We provide this service at no cost to enhance your Discord community experience.

3. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times while using Rive.

3.2 You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate permissions to stream music in your Discord server and that your use complies with your local laws and regulations.

3.3 You must respect the terms of service of third-party music platforms that Rive accesses on your behalf.

3.4 You agree not to use Rive for commercial purposes or public performances without proper licensing.

4. PROHIBITED USES

You may not use Rive to:

4.1 Attempt to extract, download, or record audio content for redistribution;

4.2 Use the service for commercial broadcasting, public performances, or revenue-generating activities;

4.3 Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the bot's functionality;

4.4 Spam commands or overwhelm the service with excessive requests;

4.5 Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All music content accessed through Rive remains the intellectual property of the respective artists, labels, and platforms. Rive does not claim ownership of any streamed content. The Rive bot software and website are proprietary to Rive. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

6. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

While we strive to maintain reliable service, Rive is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uptime or availability. The service may experience interruptions due to maintenance, third-party platform changes, server issues, or other factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

7. PRIVACY AND DATA

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Rive is provided free of charge and without warranty. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to server issues, content availability, or any disruptions to your Discord community. Your use of Rive is at your own risk.

9. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through our Discord server or website. Continued use of Rive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

10. TERMINATION

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may stop using Rive by removing the bot from your server. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

By continuing to use Rive, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
